Polson City Manager search narrowed to five finalists

POLSON — The Polson City Commission and City Manager Search Committee have selected five finalists for the city manager position which has been vacant since June of this year.

The finalists are Rodger Bennett, who was most recently the chief financial officer for the Snoqualmie Indian Tribe and currently resides in Florence, Ore.; John “Jack” Cameron, who is currently the administrator for the village of Evendale, Ohio; Mark Glover who is from Temple Terrace, Fla. and currently president and founder of Government Performance Network Corporation; Mark Shrives who was most recently the city administrator for Creswell, Ore., where he currently resides; and Bruce Snell who is currently the court administrator for Warren County Court in Lebanon, Ohio.

The Commission and Search Committee have been assisted by Prothman Company in the selection process. The Prothman Company reviewed a total of 37 applications for the position and narrowed it down to eight semi-finalists. The Commission and Search Committee reviewed the eight semi-finalist applications and discussed several of the other 29 applications before narrowing it down to the five finalists.

The public will have a chance to meet and converse with the finalists at a Sept. 11 Open House at the Golf Course Restaurant starting at 7 p.m. The next day, the finalists will be interviewed by three separate pabels: the City Commission, the City Manager Search Committee and an Employee Panel. Following the interviews, that same day, the panels will convene with Greg Prothman of the Prothman Company to begin the process of selecting the next city manager.
