Facts and Comments:
•16 schools and roughly 350 contestants participated in the meet. Due to the tremendous number of entries, three schools were needed: Polson High School (4 debate events), Polson Middle School (7 speech events), and Linderman Elementary (6 drama events).
•We tried something different this year and started an hour later than normal. There were several coaches and contestants who commented that they appreciated the later start—I think we’ll do the same thing next year.
•I really want to thank the dozens of volunteers who participated as judges—they did a great job, and they made this a very successful meet.
•Polson has four speech meets remaining: January 11th at Loyola, January 18th at Bigfork, the divisional meet on January 25th at Whitefish, and the two-day state meet in Hamilton on January 31st and February 1st.
