Home School National Geographic Bee
The Mission Valley Home Educators’ Geography Bee will be held Friday, Jan. 11 at the Polson Public Library Community Room at 2 p.m. This Bee is sponsored by the National Geographic Society and the questions range from easy (choose between two answers) to difficult (do you know it or not?) Our bee is for Lake County homeschoolers in 4th through 8th grades, and one of these students (the winner) will qualify to take a written test. The test will be sent in with all the other winners of the Bee in Montana and the students with the top 100 scores on the test will be invited to the State Geography Bee in Billings. We need to have at least six students of the right ages to qualify our winner to try for the State Bee. Regardless of whether we have our six students of the right age or not, we plan to have a good time doing the Bee and we invite you to join us! Questions? Call Ann Murphy at 849-5413.
