MISSOULA — The

Polson Purple Wave fought hard this weekend in the Garden City Walkoff Tournament in the first of several tournaments for the girls this summer.

Saturday the 12U softball team played the Helena Silverstorm losing 13-4,

but came back to beat Frenchtown Fury Fastpitch 12-4.  In the afternoon, the Wave played the Great Falls Selects in a close game, losing 6-3.

Sunday morning the girls played the Montana Avalanche and suffered another narrow defeat, losing 10-7.

The Polson16U through 10U girls’ softball teams will all play this weekend at the Polson Splash Classic tournament in Polson June 7-9.
