Adele Louise Walenciak
Adele Louise Walenciak, 78, of Polson, passed away on May 18, due to Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was born August 7, 1934 in Long Beach, Calif. to Hazel Vera Shields Leonard and James Robert Leonard. She graduated high school at Santa Ana High and attended University of Montana. She was an accounting manager for the Pacifica Hospital and later a construction company. After retirement she spent time researching genealogy and belonged to Temecula Valley Genealogy Club. During this research she found several Patriots and became a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a founding member of the Kuilix Chapter in the Mission Valley. She also spent her time gardening and was a member of the Mission Valley Garden Club. Adele was survived by: five children, Rolf Leonard Harmsen, Sheryl Lynn Harmsen, Sally Ann Harmsen Lemmon, Hal David Harmsen and Robin Lillian Walenciak Wallace (married to Aaron William Wallace); 15 grandchildren, Jennie Harmsen Belcourt, Kellen Harmsen, Emily Harmsen, Rolf Harmsen, Katie Harmsen, Lauren Winklepleck, Brooke Winklepleck, Alden (Lenny) Lemmon, Jessica Lemmon, Houston Harmsen, Alexandra Harmsen, Delaney Harmsen, Robert Wallace, William Wallace, and Thomas Wallace; and five great-grandchildren. Viewing will take place Thursday, May 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Shrider-Thompson Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 24, at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Polson. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
