Beverly Ann Stokes

Beverly Ann Stokes, born on Nov. 18, 1943 in Missoula, passed away May 22 at home, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was a member of the CSKT Tribes. She bartended for 35 years and was a cook at numerous bars and grills. She loved being in the mountains, cutting Christmas trees and firewood, post and poles with friends. She spent a lot of time at her favorite place (Mission Dam) with her soulmate Dan Bisson. Every spring you could find them there. They enjoyed cruising the back roads almost every day. She loved wildflowers and animals which she took many pictures of as well as scenery, especially clouds and sunsets all over the reservation. They had many friends that would ride around with them enjoying the same things. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Cicely Ashley and Ronald (Blacky) Ingraham; her brother Walter Ingraham; and a daughter, Sheila Kay Stokes. She is survived by: her children, Donald Stokes of Forks, Wash., David Stokes (Klista) of Emmit, Idaho; stepdaughters Dani and Charity Bisson; grandchildren, Robert, Raeleen, Ryan, Tiera, Kyra, Ruben, and numerous great-grandkids. Viewing was held at the St. Ignatius Longhouse on Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27. Rosary followed on Monday. Spiritual Leader ceremony was held Tuesday, burial followed at Ronan Cemetery.
