The Pirates hit the road again on another playoff run. There are tougher draws out there than Hamilton, and the Broncs fell at home to Anaconda earlier this season. ... Polson’s secondary will have its work cut out. Hamilton QB Josh Bauder has 1,970 passing yards on the season. The Broncs throw almost twice as often as the run the football. ... The best news for Polson is that Hamilton has trouble stopping the run, which has been the Pirates’ strong suit all season. Opponents are averaging nearly 150 rushing yards per game against them in the pass-heavy Southwest. ... The key for Polson is limiting turnovers. The Pirates are 0-2 when QB Andrew Weltz throws two or more interceptions. They’re 5-1 when he throws fewer than two.

Twin Bridges (S4) at Charlo (W1)
Charlo has home field as long as they stick around in the postseason. First on the docket is former district rival Twin Bridges. ... The 5-3 Falcons have won their last two games. Their three losses are to Ennis, White Sulphur Springs and Broadview-Lavina. ... Charlo is coming off a 58-44 win over Victor that earned the Vikings the top seed, and they’re healthy going into the playoff run. This may be the year for the Vikings.
