Arlee 48, Noxon 0
NOXON — Arlee coach Mike Rogers is finally seeing the improvement he expected this season from a young team.
Rogers saw his team come of age right before his eyes during the Warriors’ 48-0 shellacking of Noxon on the road Thursday.
“The kids finally came out and played a complete game,” Mike Rogers, the Arlee coach said. “Our defense is starting to play pretty good.”
Sophomore Harold Yocum led the Warrior defense, accumulating 1 1/2 sacks, six tackles and recovering a fumble.
“He’s really picking up what his role is being a defensive end,” Rogers said. “He’s a smart kid. He’s a hard-working kid.”
Penalties, which had been the Warriors’ Achilles heel so far this season, were also a non-factor in the game, which Rogers said contributed to the win.

DARBY — Another week, another win for the Charlo football team.
Following a bye week, the Vikings traveled to Darby where they handled the Tigers, 58-13, en route to keeping an unblemished record.
“The boys were eager to play after having a week off,” Charlo coach Mike Krahn said. “We had a fast start, scoring 34 points in the first quarter.”
Krahn’s team scored four touchdowns of more than 30 yards. The fast start allowed him to work in some of the younger players for valuable experience, he said.
