STEVENSVILLE – Jaiden Toth’s 36 assists, 22 digs and six aces led the Pirates to a 25-22, 16-25, 25-12, 25-20 road victory.
Jessica Hoel led the Polson front row with 14 kills, and Sarah Rausch tallied 17 digs for the Pirates.
“Sarah Rausch had her best defensive game of the year,” Polson coach Jan Toth said, “[and] Jessica Hoel is peaking at the right time.”
Jan Toth also mentioned freshman Haley Fyant, a middle hitter who came up from the JV squad and did a nice job against the Yellow Jackets’ large front line.
Florence 3, Ronan 0
FLORENCE – Christine Robinson accumulated 17 assists and seven digs in the Maidens’ 25-11, 25-22, 25-8 loss. Danielle Richwine had 11 digs and Alaina Madsen added eight kills for Ronan.

ST. REGIS – Morgan Malatare led the Scarlets with nine kills, eight blocks and seven digs in the 25-22, 13-25, 26-24, 25-15 road loss.

LINCOLN – The Vikings won 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 behind Aspen Runkel’s 11 digs, eight kills and four blocks. Madison Foust compiled 13 digs and 12 assists in Charlo’s straight-set victory.
Loyola 3, Ronan 0
MISSOULA – Loyola took care of the Maidens, 25-11, 25-12, 25-22. Alaina Madsen notched 21 digs and four kills for Ronan.
Bigfork 3, Mission 0
BIGFORK – Lindsay Johnson led the Bulldogs with 12 digs and an ace in the 25-21, 25-15, 25-22 loss.
Polson at Missoula Invitational
MISSOULA — Polson posted a 2-12 record in pool play at Senitnel High on Thursday, getting swept by Butte (20-17, 20-13), Helena Capital (20-12, 20-8), Anaconda (20-17, 20-16), Great Falls (20-16, 20-16) and Glacier (20-16, 20-4), and splitting with Libby (20-7, 19-20) and Sentinel (13-20, 20-19).
The Pirates struggled to close out games, Polson coach Jan Toth said.
“We were ahead often against most teams,” she said. “We just couldn’t close on a game. … The scores didn’t really reflect our level of play.”

Polson at Missoula Invitational
MISSOULA — In the consolation bracket at Hellgate High, the Pirates reached the consolation championship by defeating Hellgate and Libby with strong play from Jessica Hoel, Jessica Bagnell, Jaiden Toth, Chloie Huerta and Haley Fyant.
They bowed out in straight sets to Sentinel (25-13, 25-19) in the final match.

ARLEE – The Scarlets, powered by 13 kills from Alexis Shick, rolled to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-13 win at home.
“I changed a little bit of my receiving rotation,” Scarlets coach Brian BigSam said. “It seemed to help a little from what we did before.”
Morgan Malatare had six digs and six kills for Arlee.
Superior 3, Two Eagle River 0
SUPERIOR – Superior knocked off the winless Eagles in straight sets, 25-16, 25-3, 25-10. Maklit Charlo had three kills and three blocks for TERS.

NOXON – The Vikings earned a 25-7, 25-18, 25-22 road victory thanks to strong games from Aspen Runkel (13 digs, six kills, five aces, three blocks), Alyssa Doty (14 digs, seven kills) and Sienna Brown (17 digs, six kills).
