POLSON — Polson’s volleyball team created a special moment for one family prior to their contest against Columbia Falls last Thursday.

Four-year-old Bella Allred, of Polson, is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Thursday’s game served as a fundraiser for Bella’s medical expenses and a pep rally for her family.

The Polson volleyball team put together baskets to be raffled off and wore pink in honor of Bella and to promote cancer awareness at large. Bella served as an honorary team captain at the game.

Her classmates at Miss Debbie’s Smart Start Preschool put together gifts for her, including stuffed animals and an iPad Mini so she can stay connected even when she has to travel for treatment.

“We just wanted to keep things as normal as we could for her and keep her connected,” Debbie Klein, the preschool’s director said.

The fundraising for Bella continues as another raffle basket will be auctioned off at tomorrow’s game against Libby.
