*The following took place on Sept. 5.
-Montana vs. Raymond Burland. This matter came before the court for sentencing. For the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC or MSP for a period of five years, all suspended.
-Montana vs. James McDonald. This matter before the court for sentencing. For the offense of theft, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC for a term of ten years with eight years suspended.
-Montana vs. Lucretia McLeod. This matter came before the court for sentencing. For the offense of criminal mischief, a felony, count II, the court defers imposition of sentence for a period of three years. Count I is dismissed.
-Montana vs. Patricia Izzi. This matter came before the court for adjudicatory hearing. Defendant makes sufficient admissions and deferred sentence is revoked. In first case, for the offense of theft, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC for ten years with five years suspended. In second case, for the offense of theft of identity, a felony, the court commits the defendant to the DOC for a period of ten years, with all that time suspended to run consecutive to the other sentence.
-Montana vs. Earl Matt, Jr. This matter came before the court for change of plea. Defendant admits committing the amended offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony. The court accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. The court will allow the defendant to visit his children if he makes arrangements with Tribal Police to escort him and return him to the LCJ. Sentencing is set for Oct. 3.
-Montana vs. Laura Callahan. This matter came before the court to answer petition to revoke. For the offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a felony, the court commits the defendant to DOC for two years, all suspended to run consecutive to another sentence.

*The following took place on Sept. 4.
-Montana vs. Judy Harlow. This matter came before the court for hearing on merits. Defendant makes sufficient admissions and suspended sentence is revoked. The court commits the defendant to DOC for eight years with three suspended. Defendant is to receive full credit for time in custody.
-Montana vs. Ronald Quaring. This matter came before the court for change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony. The court accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Oct. 16.
-Montana vs. Jessica Vollmert. This matter came before the court for change of plea. Defendant admits committing the offense of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. The court makes its findings, accepts the plea and finds the defendant guilty of the charge. Sentencing is set for Oct. 9.
-Montana vs. Lisa Old Person. This matter came before the court for arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of criminal child endangerment, felonies, counts I and II. The court sets this matter for an omnibus hearing on Nov. 13 with a jury trial commencing on Jan. 6.
-Montana vs. Dennis Hobbs. This matter came before the court for arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of sexual intercourse without consent, a felony, count I; sexual intercourse without consent, a felony, count II; and assault with a weapon, a felony, count III. The court sets this matter for an omnibus hearing on Oct. 16 with a jury trial commencing on Jan. 6.
-Montana vs. Derrick Shields. This matter before the court for arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fourth or subsequent offense, a felony, count I. The court sets this matter for an omnibus hearing on Nov. 13 with a jury trial commencing on Jan. 6.
-Montana vs. Robert Wyman. This matter came before the court for arraignment. Defendant pleads not guilty to the charges of assault with a weapon, a felony, count I; partner or family member assault, a misdemeanor, count II; criminal production or manufacture of dangerous drugs, a felony, count III; stalking, a felony, count IV; and solicitation (criminal distribution of dangerous drugs), a felony, count V. The court sets this matter for an omnibus hearing on Oct. 23 with a jury trial commencing on Jan. 6.
