CROSS COUNTRY

ARLEE — Tate Weingart won the sixth annual Hatchery Challenge, leading Mission’s boys to a team win in the Arlee-hosted event as well.

Weingart’s 18:30 was a personal record and topped second-place Dalton Delaney of Charlo by 15 seconds.

Arlee’s Isaac Desjarlais (18:54) finished third and Mission’s Jamie Mullins (18:55) took fourth in the eight-team affair.

Marie Waldbillig of Philipsburg won the girls race, posting a time of 20:39. Jess Knoll and Amelia North of Arlee finished third and fourth, respectively.

The Arlee girls took first place at the meet.

Steve Groebner of Roseville, Minn. aced No. 13 at Polson Bay Golf Course. He used a 5 iron on the 147-yard par 3. Witnesses were Tom Lovrien, Bob Wilson and John Sifferley.
