Betty M. Montgomery

Betty M. Montgomery passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Vancouver, Wash., after a long illness with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Betty was born on July 4, 1938 in Big Arm, to William and Mabel Montgomery, one of nine children.

Betty was predeceased by her daughter Sandra Torell, grandson Mathew Nagle, her sister Eleanor; her brothers Martin, Alvin (Monty), and William (Willie) Montgomery. She is survived by her sisters Julie Montgomery of Missoula, Hazel Lenoir of Polson; brothers Louis Kis of Kalispell, Francis Kis of Polson; grandson Nick Nagle of Vancouver, and several nieces and nephews.

Betty retired from First American Title Company and owned and operated a small business for many years. Her daughter and grandsons were the true joys of her life. She loved spending time with her sisters, brothers, close friends and her church family.

Betty was a great listener and always doing for others. A faithful and active member of Fourth Plain Church of the Nazarene, she volunteered for everything including delivering meals to seniors and looking out for newborns in local hospitals. Betty was known as a quiet and loyal friend, and devoted mother and grandmother. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Her smile and laughter could light up a room!
