WHAT: Human Rights Group sponsors ‘Stories from a Nation Within’

DETAILS: A free film will be shown to offer information about Allotment/Homesteading and Contemporary Tribal Government, narrated by Dan Decker. There will be respectful discussion after the film. FRHRC is a non-profit organization, which seeks to diminish conflict and enhance cooperation between cultural groups. The series will continue with another film and discussion about Tribal Sovreignty and Indian Water Rights on April 24.

DETAILS: Because of National Library Week, North Lake County Public Library will offer its tradtional fine forgiveness. Patrons with overdue items or fines on their cards are encouraged to bring one item of canned or packaged food to the circulation desk for each item that is late. In return, fines will be waived. Forgiveness of fines does not include lost or damaged items. All food contributions will be donated to the Polson Loaves and Fish Food Pantry.
