Law enforcement and court records - April 24
District Court, Judge Manley presiding
*The following took place on Wednesday, April 16
-Ronnie Boyce, of Charlo, appeared in court for sentencing on the charge of possession of dangerous drugs, a felony.
Court records reflect that on Sept. 22, Lake County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a possible attempted suicide in Charlo. Boyce, who is a nurse at St. Luke Hospital in Ronan, was initially “found asleep or unconscious in bed” and “appeared confused and upset” upon being disturbed. As emergency personnel arrived, the responding officers discovered syringes and pharmaceuticals in the sink, including the drug, hydromorphone. The affidavit states that “the medications were packaged for hospital use rather than distribution through a pharmacy.” Further investigation confirmed that the hydromorphone found in the residence matched that from a recent shipment to the hospital.
She was sentenced to two years probation.
-Michael Gardipee, 35, of Ronan appeared for sentencing on the charges of felony intimidation and misdemeanor assault for his involvement in the incident that left a 29-year-old woman hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the leg that involved several other charges on other individuals.
Court documents indicate that the shooting victim told investigators that Gardipee had abused her outside of the apartment where the drama unfolded. Her claims of being repeatedly hit and kicked were consistent with the observations of responding officers, who noted that she “had a fat lip, a black eye and pattern injuries on her nose consistent with a shoe tread.”
A witness in a neighboring apartment unit reportedly saw Gardipee beating the victim. Upon being seen, Gardipee allegedly told the neighbor to “shut the door and not to call the police or he would kill her,” according to court records.
Gardipee was sentenced to 10 years for the felony charge with a concurrent sentence of six months on the misdemeanor charge. The 127 days he has already served in Lake County Jail will be credited to that time.
-Rosanne Fisher, 59, of Ronan, had a five-year suspended sentenced revoked for alleged probation violations.
Fisher’s violations include changing her residence without the consent of her probation officer, failing to report to her probation officer, breaching good conduct, consuming alcohol, failing to pay supervisory fees and court-ordered fees and failing to seek chemical dependency counseling.
She was sentenced to five years in prison.
