Lavon Leroy Barnby

Lavon Leroy Barnby passed away Jan. 17, 2014. His beloved pet of 35 years, Whiskers, has joined him with our creator.

Lavon was born Nov. 22, 1948 in Glasgow, Mont. He attended the University of Montana – Missoula for one year. He then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to attend the University of Hawaii, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Lavon was a facilitator of people interested in antique cars, music and botany. Lavon live a life full of humor, love and respect for Hawaiian and American Indian culture.

It is undeniable that he will be missed by his two sisters Linda and LeAnn; his four nieces, Michaela, Marissa, Ashley and Alesha; his nephew Austen. Lavon has nearly 98 cousins around the United States, many who remain in Montana. Lavon returned to his roots in his last years, visiting the snowcapped mountains of Montana.
