Bette Marie Lillethun

Bette Marie Lillethun, 90, passed away of natural causes at St. Luke Extended Care on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.

She was born to Ruth and Russell Wilson on Oct. 5, 1923 at the Catholic Hospital in St. Ignatius.  She was the older of two children.  She grew up in Charlo and attended grade school and high school there.  

For most of her youth, she lived with her Grandfather Mast and her Grandmother and Grandfather Wilson.  Bette married Kenneth Lillethun in 1940.  They resided in the Mission Valley for nearly all of their married life.

Bette was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Russell Wilson, husband Kenneth, brother Donald Wilson, and grandson Christian Carlyle. Survivors include son Craig Lillethun (Laurie) of Ronan, and daughters Dana Moss (Jim) of Anatone, Wash., and Rosiland Carlyle (Richard) of Polson.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Bette is best known to her family and friends for her loving and sweet spirit, and her beautiful smile.  She leaves a legacy of providing delicious meals and baked goods for her family and friends for many years.  She greatly appreciated the special care that she received at St. Luke Extended Care.

No service is planned.  Cremation has taken place at Shrider-Thompson Funeral & Cremation Services in Ronan.
