CHARLO — Charlo’s boys basketball team has been near unbeatable in 2013.

Taking down Mission, 74-68, in the latest installment of their five-game winning streak, the Vikings have lost just once—Jan. 10 versus Superior—in 2014.

“We’ve been playing some good ball lately,” senior Tyler Delaney said. “We play scrappy and unselfishly, and I think that helps us a lot. Hopefully we can keep it rolling.”

The Vikings used a 25-15 third quarter to springboard over the Bulldogs on Friday night just a week after they upended heavily favored Arlee on the same court.

Senior Tristan Santee led the Vikings with 20 points in the win, but Jade Smith (17 points), Kail Pope (14 points) and Kobe Cox (11 points) each contributed big baskets as well.

Cox bagged two clutch 3-pointers in that decisive third quarter, the first of which gave Charlo the lead for good.

Mission’s effort was spearheaded by the ever-prolific Stuart Grant, who poured in a season-high 33.

Aaron Fisher-Ahenakew added 17 points for the Bulldogs.
