Field of dreams
On March 18, Polson Youth Soccer Association experienced a truly defining moment. Endless volunteer hours of past and present board and association members, combined with a generous monetary gift from the estate of Mildred Weber Hanson, culminated in PYSA purchasing 20 acres of land in the Ridgewater community. This tract of land is adjacent to Mission Valley Aquatics, offering panoramic views of the Mission Mountains with sections overlooking the expanse of Flathead Lake. PYSA’s dream of a brand new, state-of-the-art soccer complex became a reality in that moment. PYSA looks forward to offering players a first-class sporting experience against one of the most beautiful backdrops in the state of Montana. Polson is uniquely poised as the half-way point to northern teams such as Kalispell, Whitefish, Libby, and Columbia Falls, and to southern teams such as Missoula, Hamilton, Stevensville, and Corvallis, and it will be convenient for these teams to meet in Polson, play on PYSA fields, and enjoy Polson’s community, shops, and restaurants. PYSA looks forward to hosting matches and tournaments for players and families not only from these cities, but from the entire state and region.
