Mariners drop a pair to start season
POLSON — The Mission Valley Mariners played ball for the first time in 2014, and Saturday was a day the M’s may want to forget as they fell to the AA Kalispell Lakers twice.
The gloves were asleep and the bats still in the racks, it seemed, as the valley’s legion club committed 15 errors and managed just six hits in 14 innings of play.
Alex Killian managed the Mariners only extra-base hit of the day with a double in Game 2.
