LAKE COUNTY — Members of the law enforcement community and carried the torch from Rollins to Arlee for the Law Enforcement Torch Run last week with the help of several community members and the Special Olympics athletes who benefit from the event.

The torch began in Lincoln County and will travel over the next few weeks to Billings for the start of the Montana Special Olympics.

County Attorney Mitch Young, accompanied by cyclists John Azzopardi and Ali Bronsdon, picked up the torch in Rollins and rode toward Polson where Special Olympics athletes took the torch through down Thursday. On Friday, Ronan’s athlete contingent did the same thing through Ronan, and other runners and cyclists bore the torch southward.
