Rose Marie Tildy Johnson

Rose Marie Tildy Johnson, age 70 of Polson, passed away on Sunday evening, Nov. 9, at her home following her fight with ALS. Rose was born June 22, 1944 in Hopkins, Minn. to Blair and Elvina Prepodnik.

Rose grew up in Minnesota and went on to receive a degree in nursing before moving to Montana. On August 25, 1973, she married her true love Richard Johnson and they lived together in Polson for 41 years of marriage.

Rose enjoyed horses, sewing, and cross-stitch, stamping, and was active in the Lake County 4-H program with her children.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend will be greatly missed by all those she had touched.

Rose is preceded in death by both her parents, Elvina and Blair and by her grandson, Cody Hall.

Survivors include her husband, Richard of Polson; their three children and their families, Brad (Michelle) Johnson of Valdosta, Ga., Sara (Shayne) Hall of Kalispell, Christy (Curt) Johnson of Polson; two brothers, Frank and Don Prepodnik and their families from Minnesota; along with five beautiful granddaughters, Ashley, Kelsie, Summer, Madisyn, and Emily.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, in the Johnson home at 2 p.m. Friends and family are invited to share in a celebration of Rose’s life. Her ashes will be spread at a later date.
