Mission Valley VB stars shine

At St. Ignatius this past Wednesday, November 12th, seven teams from around the Mission Valley gathered to participate in the 3rd annual Mission Valley Volleyball All-Star game.  The NWA Polson Lady Pirates, 6B Mission St. Ignatius Lady Bulldogs, 6B Ronan Maidens, 7B Bigfork Valkyries, 10C Arlee Scarlets, 10C Charlo Lady Vikings and the 10C Hot Springs Lady Savage Heat each sent multiple players to compete against one another in a low-key competition finale that punctuates the end of the volleyball season around the Mission Valley with an exclamation point.

On the offensive end of the spectrum, several century club (100+) spikers were represented that included Lindsay Johnson (StIgn), Kendra Starkel (Ron), Sydnee Clairmont (Ron), Sienna Brown (Charlo), Haley Fyant (Pol) as well as a few others whose stat data was unavailable for consultation.

At the defensive end of the spectrum, multiple century club diggers included Mission’s Dubois along with Johnson, Ronan’s Starkel as well as Richwine, Polson’s Toth along with Clay and Charlo’s Brown as well as Roylance.  There were almost certainly others from Arlee, Bigfork and Hot Springs, but data was unavailable to consult in order to substantiate the numbers.

The players in attendance were divided into two teams and competed against one another in a low key format.  Those in attendance were treated to one last taste of volleyball athleticism as the season comes to a close.
