Interpreting nature

Local artist Barbara Buchli’s been busy at Finley Point where she was commissioned to paint murals on the side of Dennis and Linda Hewitt’s house, which is located just before Finlely Point Road descends toward the State Park.

The professional artist, whose father is Dick Beigle, recently finished a Flathead Lake Cherry Festival mural on the side of the Lake City Bakery in Polson.

Buchli said she visits the Flathead Lake area regularly but is commissioned to work all over the world.

The Montana native is now working as a mural artist in Denver and Boston.

The Polson mural was finished in July and the Finley Point mural is brand new.
