A chamber of winners
The Polson Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual banquet and awards presentation on Nov. 9 at the Kwa Taq Nuk Resort.
The Chamber recognized the local businesses, volunteers and non-profits that dedicate so much time, talent, and energy into making Polson successful.
The president of the Polson Chamber, Rob Turner and president-elect, Louis Cross, began the evening with welcoming remarks and thanked all the board members, volunteers and ambassadors for their year of hard work and commitment.
Once dinner was served, a short video produced by David W. King Pictures was presented spotlighting the events and business’ that make Polson such a fun and fantastic place to live and visit.
The winners of the 2014 Polson Chamber of Commerce Awards along with the Polson School District Teacher and Classified Staff of the Year and the City of Polson Employee of the Year were presented with a plaque in recognition of their efforts in each of the categories in which they were nominated.
The winners in each category are as follows:
Business of the Year – Anderson Broadcasting
Non-Profit of the Year – Greater Polson Community Foundation
Agricultural/Natural Resources Business of the Year – Flathead Lake Biological Station
Leadership Award – Judge James Manley
Citizen of the Year - Mayor Heather Knutson
Volunteer/Ambassador of the Year – Ann Belen
Past President Award – Rich Forbis
Teacher of the Year – Jon Gustafson
Classified Staff of the Year – Dan Giles
City Employee of the Year - Alan Booth.
