Polson girls run to second place

At Helena Thursday, the Polson cross-country teams competed at the Capital City 7 on 7 races which pit runners who are seeded according to stratification against a number of other schools that cross multiple classifications.

The Polson girls placed 11th out of 49 teams, but more importantly, they took 2nd among Class A schools behind Corvallis.

Two runners finished among the top 10 with both Anna Young and Quinn Motichka coming in 10th in both the #4 and #5 races.

Izabella Seeman just missed a TOP TEN finish with an 11th place run in the #3 race.

Hannah Madsen and Sierra Garcia continue to shave time off of their runs as they close in on going under the next minute demarcation.

The Polson boys placed 28th out of 51 teams overall, but a respectable 10th among other Class A schools.

Matt Sitter, Wyatt Benson and Quaid Harlan also continued their trend of dropping seconds off of their times from previous races.

Next on the XC racing docket are the NWA Divisional championships held in Columbia Falls this coming Saturday.
