At Ronan, the host Chiefs rallied twice in the second half to clip the wings of the visiting 7B Bluehawks.
Ronan trailed by 1 at halftime.
But during the Chiefs’ kickoff to start the second half, Ronan’s Colton McCrea recovered the loose ball at the 13-yard-line and ran to the zone for a touchdown.
Trailing once again by a point in the final period, Ronan found success in advancing the ball on the ground as the Bluehawks focused their attention upon shutting down the Chief passing game.
Logan Hakes plunged into the end zone from two yards out to give Ronan the lead for good. Ronan (0-2, 3-4) travels to Mission this Friday for a 6B cross county clash with the Bulldogs.

At Libby, the visiting Pirates felled the host Loggers while compiling 434 all purpose yards, picking up their first Northwestern A victory. Quarterback Wyatt Ducharme threw for three touchdowns in the first half, then handed the ball off to his backfield who churned up yardage while scoring four more.
Matt Rensvold, Tim Russell and Jacob Harrod reeled in a touchdown pass each, while Joe Gallatin, Danny DiGiallonardo and Jacob Clairmont racked up real estate yardage on the ground.
