DETAILS: Lake County residents have been scammed by fraudulent organizations promising quick-fix solutions. The Finance Program in the Salish and Kootenai Housing Authority is partnering with state and federal agencies to educate residents on how to detect and deal with fraud and scams. Seating is limited

WHERE: The Polson Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold its annual Harvest Dinner of Swedish meatballs, potatoes, gravy, lefse, salad and dessert years.

DETAILS: There will be a chicken dinner and salad served. An inspiration film will be shown after dinner and will be followed with dessert and coffee. All are welcome.

DETAILS: D’Aste Women’s Club Annual Halloween party is open to everyone.

WHAT: Native American Film Series: Winter in the Blood

DETAILS: Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Winter in the Blood is a tale of a modern-day man’s vision quest, who ultimately recovers his true identity.

WHAT: New parent meeting

WHEN: 10 to 11:30 a.m.

WHERE: Hanging Art Gallery in Arlee

DETAILS: Staff from the “Parents as Teachers” host a “Tots and Treats” playgroup. There will be activities, information and snacks. All area parents are welcome to the free, voluntary program. PAT provides twice monthly home visits to pregnant moms and those with children up to five with activities, screenings, and information.

DETAILS: The RMS Drama Department presents a Halloween mystery spoof titled “Drac’s Back!” General admission tickets only will be sold at the door the evening of the play.

WHAT: Community Harvest  dinner

WHERE: Fellowship Baptist Church at 2 7th Ave East, in Polson

DETAILS: Serving chicken, potatoes, salads and dessert. This is the last community dinner this year. Dinners resume on Jan. 22.

WHAT: POLSON PIRATES MONSTER MASH FUN RUN/WALK

WHEN: 1 mile – 10 a.m.; 5K – 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: Linderman Elementary School

DETAILS: A chili lunch will be served after the 5K is over. Registration and check in starts is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
