DETAILS: VFW #5652 in Ronan is presenting a Gold Star Mother’s Day ceremony and luncheon to follow at Ronan VFW. Members will honor Gold Star Mothers who lost children in combat. All are welcome to attend.

WHAT: Dog trainer training

WHEN: 9 to 11 a.m., Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

WHERE: Mission Valley Animal Shelter

DETAILS: Instructor will train dog trainers and owners to work with some of our dogs to help make them more adoptable. Covers leash walking, sit, wait, watch me, confidence building and more. Must commit to 8 weeks working with the dogs on your own schedule.

DETAILS: DAR State Officer Joann Piazzola will speak about the history of the American flag top members of the Kuilix chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Italian-style buffet lunch will be served at noon. Prospective members are welcome.

DETAILS: Please bring ten 1 3/4” x 18” fall colored strips of fabric for an exchange. A pattern will be handed out for you to make a table topper with them.
