Polson high school scholarships available

$1,500 will be awarded to a deserving Polson High School senior.  The scholarship is made available in cooperation with the Dollars for Scholars program. The Dollars for Scholars underwrites $500 with $1,000 contributed by the Polson High School class of 1959.  This year’s scholarship will be the 12th provided to a graduating senior. The PHS Class of ‘59 instituted the scholarship program in 2005 and PHS ‘59 alumni continue to pay it forward. Previous scholarship recipients have pursued majors in anesthesiology, physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, business, journalism, nursing and interior design. PHS Class of ‘59 committee members received 36 applications last year, a record number. Committee members are David Swayne, Chair, members Jane Laraby-Swayne, Sandy Weaver, Clao Milner, Gary Maas and friend of the class and alternate, Peggy Milner.
