Members of Fresh Life Church Polson are joining their brethren from the Fresh Life Church’s eight other Montana locations to hit the streets of their communities and make a difference doing anything store or property owners need them to do.

Volunteers will be offering free, no-strings-attached help for everyday chores that need to be completed, said Rick Hill, Fresh Life Church Polson attendee.

Fresh Life representatives already got the nod of approval from Polson Mayor Heather Knutson, Polson Chamber of Commerce President Louis Cross and plan to focus on three target points, he said.

“We will sweep streets, wash windows, whatever needs to be done,” Hill said.

The Polson congregation’s efforts are in tandem with the Rock This City movement all church campuses will undertake, he said.

Rock This City is an unleashing of Christ’s love in the community its supporters live, according to a Rock This City website, and is intended to gather volunteers from Missoula, Billings, Whitefish, Kalispell, Bigfork, Lakeside, Columbia Falls, Bozeman and Polson to do things like clear trails, garden, paint, prepare meals and donate blood.

“This outreach is designed to make an impact in the name of Jesus,” the website said. “We want to see as many people serving as possible.” Rock This City organizers expect each project to take about three hours each and those interested can sign up online at www.rockthiscity.co.

But Rock This City is designed for everyone to chip in and volunteer and non-church members are encouraged to join in the service outreach.

Organizers say that Rock This City is not a one-time event, but rather something regularly scheduled throughout the year.

Those who want to volunteer and those who have needs can contact year-round staff members on the Fresh Life Team at 406-257-3339.
