Hot Springs woman arrested in shooting
Tammy Fisher of Hot Springs is in Sanders County Jail after allegedly shooting a man with a handgun Tuesday morning.
Tom Rummel, Sanders County Sheriff, said law enforcement from Lake County and Sanders County searched for Fisher after the shooting, which left the man hospitalized.
Don Bell, Lake County sheriff, Jim Atkins, Lake County undersheriff, several deputies and Montana Highway Patrol troopers, headed out to Montana Highway 28 where they covered the Elmo end of the road while Rummel and his crew searched the Plains end of Montana Highway 28, Rummel said.
Sanders county deputies also searched long Montana Highway 200 through Dixon.
She was arrested in Hot Springs and charged with felony assault with a weapon and is in Sanders County Jail.
The injured man was transported to Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains.
