GEORGE ROBERT GOULD

George Robert Gould, aka “Lightning”, age 81, of Polson, passed away on Friday, August 7, at St. Joseph Hospital in Polson. He was born on June 28, 1934 to John Robert “Bob” and Mary Gould.

He had a brother Arthur and a sister Sara. They grew up in Valley View on the farm, with Arthur and Bob spending their entire life there until moving into town. 

Bob worked for many years as a millwright at the mill in Polson. He spent his off time ranching, faming and raising cows.

In 1988, he met the love of his life Marie Bramsen. They had 27 wonderful years together with many great adventures.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, sister and a nephew Lucky.

Bob is survived by two nieces, Mary Ann (Tom) Feiber and Laura Lee Klint; and Marie and her entire family.

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held on Tuesday, August 25 at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph Assisted Living.
