Hunter education classes begin in northwest Montana

Hunter education classes are available to anyone 11 years old and older have been scheduled for northwest Montana.
Montana state law mandates that anyone born after Jan. 1, 1985, must have completed the Hunter Education course to buy a hunting license in Montana.
All students must register online at fwp.mt.gov.
Ronan/Pablo: Classes are 4 to 6 p.m., Feb. 18, 19, 20, and 23 at Westland Seed in Ronan; field course is Feb. 21. Instructor Shawn Morgan may be reached at 406-309-4545. An additional class will be held for the area in March.
Bigfork: First class begins March 25 at 7 p.m. in the Bigfork High School music room. The remainder of classes will be held 6 to 9 p.m. on March 30, 31, April 1, 2, and 3. The field course will be on April 4. Test night is April 6. Rod Day may be reached at 406-249-5402.
Somers: First class is April 13 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Somers School Lobby; Classes are 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 20, 21, 22, and 23; field course is April 25 at the Flathead Valley Trap Club. Test is April 27 at Somers School. Wes Plummer may be reached at 406-752-2846.
