Salish Kootenai College basketball close out season

Salish Kootenai College Basketball

The Bison basketball teams of Salish Kootenai College will take a brief hiatus for the next weeks as their facility will host the 14C District Tournament.  Games will resume the end of the month when the Bison host Aaniih Nakota (Fort Belknap) College on Saturday, Feb. 28, then makeup a rescheduled contest on Sunday, March 1, against Chief Dull Knife College at the Joe McDonald Gymnasium in Pablo.

 

SKC Lady Bison Women’s Basketball

 Chief Dull Knife 76, Salish Kootenai 74

At Harlem in their second game at the Aaniiih Nakota Classic Tournament this past Sunday, the visiting Lady Bison couldn’t gain an edge over Chief Dull Knife College in a very tight game.

At Harlem in their first game at the Aaniiih Nakota Classic Tournament this past Saturday, the visiting Lady Bison jumped out to a double figure lead over the host Lady Eagles of Fort Belknap, then continued trending to capture their opening game of the tournament.

At Box Elder on the Rocky Boy Reservation this past Friday, the visiting Lady Bison trailed by double figures at intermission.  They outscored the host Warriors in the second half, but couldn’t make up enough ground to complete the rally.

    At Harlem in their second game at the Aaniiih Nakota Classic Tournament this past Sunday, the visiting Bison prevailed in a contest where both teams cracked the century threshold in scoring.

At Harlem in their first game at the Aaniiih Nakota Classic Tournament this past Saturday, the visiting Bison emerged victorious over host Aaniiih Nakoda College (aka Fort Belknap College) by a teen margin.

At Rapid City on Sunday, Feb. 1, the visiting  Bison found the going tough against the host Hardrockers of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, dropping their exhibition contest by double digit dozens.

At Lame Deer on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation on Saturday, January 31st, the visiting Bison were sharp with their shooting as they downed Chief Dull Knife College by a comfortable margin.
