The Salish Kootenai College Bison basketball teams are rumbling once again as the schedule unfolds after the New Year.  Both teams have three games slated over the next two weekends, two of them at home.

On Jan. 17, the Bison host Fort Berthold Community College of North Dakota in a women’s and men’s doubleheader with the Lady Bison taking the court at 5 p.m. and the Bison men tipping off at 7 p.m.

Then the following Saturday on Jan 24, the Bison host Blackfeet Community College from Browning in another doubleheader with the Lady Bison game commencing at 4pm and the Bison men tipping off at 6pm.  Both Bison teams hit the road to play Blackfeet Community College on their home turf in Browning on Jan. 25.

The Lady Bison roster features five Montana natives in 5-8 forward Daryl Conko-Camel of Ronan, 5-7 guard Coco Moore of Fort Belknap, 5-8 forward T’Auna Courchane of Great Falls, 5-9 forward Kayla Johnson of Florence and 5-8 forward Cecelia Koskela, originally of Eureka, CA, but who played for the Arlee Scarlets.  The Lady Bison placed eight players on the honor roll this past grading period with a couple pulling difficult 4.0 GPAs, making them an equivalent of an all-academic team. The Bison men’s team have a pair of co-captains in Zach Camel Jr. and DJ Fish, who have been leading the team in point productivity, rebounding as well as assists.

Both home games will be at Joe McDonald Gymnasium in Pablo.
