Polson Fire Chief resigns: Cottle to take over as Interim Chief
After 23 years of service on Polson’s police and fire departments, Fire Chief John Fairchild resigned Wednesday. Clint Cottle, Polson’s Assistant Police Chief was promoted to Interim Fire Chief, according to city of Polson Public Information Officer Karen Sargeant.
Cottle, who was appointed by Polson City Manager Mark Shrives, worked in emergency services since June 2002 in Polson’s police department.
Cottle served as a patrol officer, detective, patrol sergeant and assistant police chief, the press release said.
“I am excited and honored to join the ranks of the Polson City/Rural Volunteer Fire Department,” Cottle said.
