Resort tax the topic of Polson Chamber lunch Aug. 5
Where do smaller communities in Montana find funding for improvements to their infrastructure without increasing taxes on local citizens? For some communities with a large number of visitors traveling through every year, the answer has been the establishment of a resort tax. On Wednesday, August 5, members of the Polson Chamber of Commerce will learn more about this form of a local option tax during their August luncheon meeting. Representatives of Polson’s Economic Development Council will update members concerning the possibilities of a resort tax in Polson.
Cost of the luncheon will be $ 10.50 and is open to Chamber members and members of the public. Reservations for the luncheon are not required. For additional information about the Chamber and its activities, call the Chamber office at 883-5969.
