Jason Delaney places second in Missoula Marathon

A number of Lake County residents travelled to Missoula on Sunday for the annual Missoula Marathon. Along with the traditional marathon, there was a half-marathon and a 5K. There was also a kids’ marathon.
The highest-placing Lake County resident was Jason Delaney of Polson. Delaney placed second overall this year with a time of 2:38:18, which was one minute and eight second behind the winner, Collin Fehr of Missoula. Brande Mergenthaler of Polson came in 57th, with a time of 3:18:19.
The highest-placing woman from Lake County was Tana Seeley of Polson, who placed 132nd overall and second in her age group with a time of 3:32:18. Ali Bronsdon, also of Polson, came in an a few minutes later with a time of 3:38:06. She was 11th in her age group and 158th overall.
A total of 1,200 people participated in the half marathon on Sunday. The highest placing local was Jake Windauer of Polson, who was 63rd with a time of 1:29:24. Brennin Grainey of Polson was the second highest finisher with a time of 1:39:33. That earned him 142nd place overall.
The fastest local woman was Holly Duffey of Ronan, who finished 268th with a time of 1:45:38. Noelle Decker of Ronan was a few minutes behind her with a time of 1:48:52, which put her at 338th overall.
