CONCERT

The KwaTaqNuk will host a concert as part of its Summer Concert Series at the KwaTaqNuk beginning at 8 p.m. July 16.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Polson Loaves and Fish Pantry needs volunteer(s) to pick up food at local super markets for distribution to needy families in the Polson area. The job requires a person to drive a pickup truck and can lift a 50-pound box of food. Pick up are at 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

A driver can volunteer for one or all three days. Anyone interested should call the Pantry manager, Bryan River at 406-546-1283 or stop in at the Pantry any Monday or Thursday morning.

 

FLEA MARKET

The Montana Co-op Farmers/Flea Market will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday. For more information call 406-319-2000 or 406-285-1149.

 

POLSON FARMERS MARKET

The Polson Farmers Market will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday through the summer in downtown Polson on 3rd Ave. West between Main Street and First Street West.

LOCAL THEATER PRODUCTION

The Port Polson Players will present “Gaslight,” a classic Victorian thriller until July 19. Curtain time is 8 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

QUILT GUILD SHOW

The Mission Mountain Quilt Guild will hold its annual Quilt Show  July 30, 31 and Aug. 1. 

This year’s hours will be: from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday and Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. 

The show’s theme is: Twist and Shout.  Kay Krantz will be featured as well as Tonya Gray’s history booth. Raffles will be held and vendors will be present. 

Pre-registered quilt participants must take their pieces to the gym between 2 and 6 p.m. July 28. Take down will begin at 4 p.m. Aug. 1.

NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH

The St. Ignatius Neighborhood Watch meets at 7 p.m. every third Tuesday of the month at St. Ignatius Senior Center. Mack McConnell is chapter president. 

Mission FLY IN

The St. Ignatius Airport will host its annual Fly-In from July 19 from 8 a.m. to noon. Organizers plan a huckleberry pancake breakfast and EAA Youth Eagle Flights. With their parent’s approval, children between eight and 17 years old can get a free airplane ride. Call 406-544-2274.

The Hot Springs Blues Festival is July 24 and will feature: Mudslide Charley, Mike Bader Band, Zeppo, John Kelly, Three Eared Dog and David Ricci.

 

3 on 3 tourney

The Flathead Lake 3-on-3 Hoop Shoot will host its 23rd annual event on Main Street in Polson July 24 and 25. In all, 300 teams will play in the event, and proceeds will be donated back to the community including $1,000 to Chamber Beautification. Tournament games begin at 5 p.m. July 24 and at 9 a.m. July 25 and 26.

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center is offering discounted sports physicals Aug. 4 and 13 for student athletes from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson.
