Polson tennis players shine at Western Montana Open
By JOHN HEGLIE
Special for the Leader
At Missoula last week, a pair of Polson tennis players performed with panache at the Western Montana Open against some tough competition. Both Quaid Harlan and Cassie Carlyle won singles matches against high caliber opponents as well as notched games during the course of matches they lost.
But where both shined the brightest was when they teamed up as a tandem, where they swept their competition to win the mixed U18 doubles. Harlan was half of the tandem that captured the NWA Divisional boys doubles championship this past season, while Carlyle placed fourth with her partner in NWA Divisional girls doubles.
