Grizzly golf tourney in Ronan
Thursday, May 14, is the final day to sign up for the Annual Tana Bockman Memorial Golf for the Griz Tournament. The tourney will be held in Ronan on Friday, May 15. The co-ed scramble is an opportunity for area golfers to meet and play golf with University of Montana Grizzlies coaches and staff. Several U of M coaches, including new Head Football Coach Bob Stitt, will be playing. Golf play will be followed by a whole pig barbecue and trimmings.
The Mission Mountain Chapter of the Grizzly Scholarship Association is sponsoring the tourney on the Mission Mountain Golf Course (MMGC). Sign up can be accomplished through the golf course. The fee for participants is $80 per golfer ($70 for MMGC card holders). The fee covers the golf, cart and barbecue. Those signing up individually will be assigned teams.
The four-person 18-hole co-ed scramble will tee off with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. U of M personalities will play with the area golfers on a rotating basis. All proceeds from the tournament go toward scholarships for U of M Grizzly student athletes.
