Shots-fired call ends in arrest
A startled neighbor called Lake County emergency dispatchers at about 8:30 a.m. Oct. 6 after hearing what she thought were gunshots from a house nearby.
When law enforcement officers arrived on scene several minutes later, they learned that a couple living in the home were engaged in a verbal argument earlier in the morning, and that the woman who was involved went outside and shot a gun into the ground, Lake County Undersheriff Jim Atkins said.
The woman was not cited for any wrong doing, he said. She was in private property and engaging in a legal activity.
But Jordan Pluff, who was in the home and upstairs sleeping during the argument was arrested.
Pluff had an active Spokane County, Washington felony warrant for his arrest.
Pluff will be returned to the Washington State court system where he will face charges of felony motor vehicle theft, Atkins said.
