Polson Fairground Holds Annual Cowboy Ball

Polson Fairgrounds Inc. (PFI) held its Annual Cowboy Ball last Friday to raise money for general improvements and maintenance for the Polson Fairgrounds. The non-profit organization leases the fairgrounds from Lake County and maintains the buildings and grounds throughout the year.
The evening began with a prime rib dinner then moved on to a live auction. Missoula based band, Shodown, played music after the auction.
PFI’s main source of income is through fundraising events like the Cowboy Ball and they rely on community members and fairgrounds users to keep their income flowing.
“We appreciate the support the community gives us,” PFI’s Una Rose Graham said.
PFI hopes 2017’s Cowboy Ball will be bigger and bring in more money for the organization.
“We’re going to take it to another level next year,” event auctioneer Reed Tobol said.
This year’s fundraiser had 23 live auction items and 125 silent auction items. The total money raised was $18,500.
