Polson High School band receives high marks

Over 20 Polson student musical pieces ranked excellent or superior at the music festival a few weeks ago. Among the excellent ratings were the Polson Symphonic band, the concert band, nine ensembles, and six individual solos. Among those soloists were Olivia Hewston on the piano, Naima Crowl on the piano and the flute, Sierra Garcia on the trombone, Marita Growing Thunder on the trombone, and Warren Wood in a horn solo.

Earning superior ratings were two ensembles, both by Matt and Hannah Hobbs. Hannah Hobbs also earned a Superior rating in a flute solo. Brady Vance also earned a superior with a snare drum solo, and Tessa Nunlist earned a superior with a mallet solo.
