Ninepipe Wildlife Management Area improvements planned

| August 3, 2016 11:26 AM

From Montana, Fish, Wildlife and Parks

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region One, has completed an environmental assessment (EA) for a proposal for the Ninepipe Wildlife Management Area (WMA), located just south of Ronan on Highway 93 in Lake County, to create two elevated wildlife viewing stations, as well as improve the parking at an additional location. Through the public review process described in the decision notice, FWP found no significant impacts associated with the proposed action and will move forward with the completion of the project. FWP believes the completion of this action will provide a safer environment and increase the wildlife viewing opportunities at Ninepipe WMA.

Copies of the decision notice are available at the FWP website and office, 490 N. Meridian Rd., Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave., Helena; FWP State Headquarters, 1420 E 6th Ave., Helena; and available for viewing at local libraries.
