ST. IGNATIUS HOSTING MISSOULA CHORUS
The Missoula Community Chorus with presents its annual winter concert with a special appearance in St. Ignatius on Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will take place at the Mission Valley United Methodist Church at 70715 Highway 93. A $5 donation is suggested at the door.
POLSON PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH DINNER
The December Friendship Table Dinner is taking place on Dec. 9 from 5 to 6:30 PM. Polson Presbyterian Church is located across from the Linderman School. This dinner is free and open to all.
LOCAL CHOIR PRESENTS CHRISTMAS CONCERT
The Mission Valley Choral Society presents its annual Christmas concert this Sunday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Polson. This year’s concert will feature the Copeland Memorial Bell Ringers and Polson High School’s select ensemble Connection.
NARFE CHRISTMAS PARTY
The National Active and Retired Federal Employees is holding its annual Christmas party at noon on Dec. 14 at Pop’s Grill in Polson. A meal is available from the menu. Following lunch there will be a program featuring Barbara Monaco, the chief juvenile probationary officer for Lake County.
LIBRARY HOLDING TECHNOLOGY CLASS
North Lake County Public Library in Polson is offering a free technology class on Tuesday, Dec. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the large meeting room. Everyone is welcome. The topic is “Do They Really Need that Gaming Computer? A Guide to Buying Technology for Christmas or Any Other Time”. ELKS LODGE HOLDING ANNUAL HOOP SHOOT
The Mission Valley Elks Lodge will be hosting their Annual Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest on Sunday, Dec., 18 at Linderman Gymnasium in Polson. Free registration and warm up will run from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. The contest will begin at 11:00 am. The contest is open to boys and girls ages 8-13 (as of April 1, 2017) from Polson, Ronan and all surrounding areas. There is no cost to participate and no admission charge. Winners of each age group will advance to the District Contest in Pablo at the McDonald Gymnasium. Contact David Rensvold at 406-250-0771 with any questions.
LIBRARY HOSTING HOLIDAY COLORING PROGRAM
The North Lake County Public Library in Polson is inviting participants to its “Cup of Christmas Tea Holiday Coloring Program” on Dec. 21 from 2:30-4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Coloring projects -- whimsical and useful, small scale and bigger -- are provided; along with supplies. Tea and scones will be served. A highlight of the afternoon session is a reading of Tom Hegg’s book, “A Cup of Christmas Tea.” The evening session will include seasonal music selections.
