Welcome to December and the cold weather. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water and keep you self hydrated. That is something we tend to worry more about in the heat than in the cold.

If you didn’t join us for our birthday dinner on Friday, you missed a great meal. We had 78 people join us to enjoy the food, music and fellowship.

The drawing for our quilt raffle is on Thursday, so you have a last chance to buy tickets. Well draw the winning tickets during our chicken dinner, and tickets will be available then. Thanks to all who have bought tickets, and may you all be winners.

The bridge players will be taking the month of December off, but will resume playing after the first of the year.

The evening card players will meet on Monday evening, Dec. 19, at 7 p.m. to play pinochle, and they are also looking for more people to join them.

The foot clinic will be from 10 a.m. until noon on Wednesday the 21st. That is also the day of our Christmas dinner.

We will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26,to give our cooks more time to spend with their families.

The December birthday dinner will be on Friday, Dec. 30.

Our menu for the next two weeks is:

Wednesday, Dec. 7: Swedish meatballs,

Thursday, Dec. 8: chicken at 5:30 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 9: chicken pot pie

Monday, Dec. 12: chili and cinnamon rolls

Wednesday, Dec. 14: brunch surprise

Friday, Dec. 16: cheeseburgers.

The cost is just $4.00 if you are over 60 and $5.00 if you are younger.

We serve at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at 5:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. All of our functions are open to the public.
