BETTY JANE ANDERSON SIVELLE
Betty Jane Anderson Sivelle passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones Dec. 9, at 2:42 p.m., of complications related to Dementia.
Betty was born in Ventura, Calif. on Jan. 24, 1925, to William Brown Anderson and Leota Gladdis Phillips Anderson. Betty graduated from Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles in 1943. Betty went to work to help the World War II effort at California Flyers, Inc. a subcontractor to Douglas Aircraft, building wing spars for C47 Bombers, and the Federal Aviation Administration at Los Angeles International Airport.
Betty married Jim Sivelle at the First Congregational Church in Los Angeles on Sept. 13, 1947. They have two children, Brett Mervin Sivelle and Deborah Gale Sivelle Chapman.
Betty enjoyed boating and was a competitive water skier. She loved fishing in the mountains and the ocean, foreign travel, and family genealogy. She loved working in her garden and enjoyed her fabulous mountain and lake views, as well as the wildlife that frequently visited their yard.
Betty is preceded in death by her father: William Brown Anderson, mother: Leota Gladdis Phillips Anderson, and her sister: Evon Duane Anderson Lovett Abacherli.
Betty is survived by her husband William “Jim” Sivelle, son Brett Mervin Sivelle and daughter-in-law Carolyn, daughter Deborah Gale Sivelle Chapman and her husband Jim. Her nephews: Dennis Lovett and wife Linda, Larry Lovett and wife Robin. Grandchildren: Christian Sivelle, Heidi Sivelle Williams and husband Kris, James Chapman and wife Christine, and six great-grandchildren, Carlos and Emma Sivelle, Sydney and Eli Williams, Liam and Luke Chapman.
A celebration of life will be held at The Lake Funeral Home & Crematory, 101 6th Ave. E., in Polson, on Monday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m., burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery, 2000 Hillcrest Dr., Polson.
