Ronan center offering meals, services
Boy it’s cold out there. When you go out, remember to dress warmly and to wear your hat and gloves. Despite the weather, we had a good turn out for our Thursday night dinner. We held our raffle drawing and will be contacting the winners this week. Thanks to all who helped with this fund raiser. The money will be split between the Senior Center and the Nutrition Program.
Are you house-bound or need help with your meals? Call us and ask about the Meals on Wheels program. We deliver meals five days a week in Ronan and three days a week to Pablo. The cost is only $4 per meal.
Our meals at the center are serve at noon on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and are $4 per meal if you are 60 or older. We also serve one evening meal a month, on the second Thursday of the month. This meal cost $5 per person.
Need help with housekeeping or transportation? Give the Council on Aging a call at 676-2367 or 676-2368, and ask about the services they offer.
The Monday afternoon bridge players are taking the month of December off. The Monday evening pinochle players will meet at 7 p.m. on Dec. 19.
Crafts and painting is at 1 pm on Wednesday afternoons. The pool table is always ready to use, there is a jigsaw puzzle waiting to be put together and always lots of books to borrow or exchange.
Our Christmas dinner is on Wednesday, Dec. 21, and we will be serving a ham dinner. That is also the day of the foot clinic, so come on in and get your toes tweaked and stay and join us for lunch.
We will not be serving a meal on Monday, Dec. 26, but will be open again on Dec. 28.
Our menu for the rest of the month is:
Wednesday, Dec. 14: brunch surprise
Friday, Dec. 16: cheeseburgers
Monday, Dec. 19: Chinese buffet
Wednesday, Dec. 21: ham
Friday, Dec. 23: soup and sandwiches
Monday, Dec. 26: we are closed
Wednesday, Dec. 28: spaghetti
Friday, Dec. 30: roast beef for our birthday dinner
Come on in and join us for some great food and fellowship. You don’t have to be a senior to join us, and we will be happy to see you. Have a great week.
